All of us young people have many plans when we grow older in this world. Most of us wants to graduate as a nurse, a doctor, an engineer, a lawyer, a chemist, a biologist, a meteorologists and many other. But all of us really wanted to be very successful someday. Where we could achieve what we wanted when were still young. when also we grow up we could help our parents and repay them for all they have done to us. Or when we have the right age, we could have our own family to take care. Where in we could also raise our children well.
For me, I am also the same as the other young people around me. First, I must finish my studies. I would like to graduate in high school. After graduating in high school, to graduate in collage. When I go in college want to be in a nice school or university like University of the Philippines. In college I have many courses to choose from. I wanted to take up nursing. I think this is a good course because you can easily go to abroad when you pass all the tests and all the requirements that I need. You could also earn big amount of money when you are a nurse and working in abroad. I also want to take up fine arts. Because I really want to design rooms and places. And I really love arts and all things related to arts. I think I want also to take up HRM (hotel and restaurant management) because I want to work in hotels and also become the manager. I want to manage big hotels in the Philippines or even in abroad.I think I also want to be a news caster. Where in there is a lot of adventure. You will go on different places to take coverage about what is happening and report it live on TV. So I think I also want to take up mass communication. From these courses I'm still thinking now which the one which I really want.
After I graduate I would find a nice job and I would help my parents and support them for their needs. I would like to give them a house. A nice and relaxing house to live in. I would also like to give them a little business to manage so that they could also earn money.
After that when I found the man of my dreams, I would also build my own family when I reach in the right age. I want my family in a stable condition. Where in we have our own house to live in. Where in I raise my children in this safe place.I hope that I could raise them well. We could also have our car and we will be having a business to take care of.
Well.. these things are my future plans. These are the things I always dream about everyday in my life.
I have been a contestant in many contest in our school when I was in elementary. I've been in a inter school competition, in the division level and also in the regional level.There is a contest that I would never forget in my life.
This was when my teacher picked me as the representative in our school to join the journalism contest in the division level. She assigned me in the news writing competition in filipino and editorial cartooning in filipino also. Before the contest we really practiced a lot. I am not the only one who was picked, there was many of us. In our practice she sometimes scold me because all of my format in news writing was wrong and I also did not rearrange the events. But I still did all my best in practicing.
When the contest day came, i felt very nervous. Because there where many other schools that we need to compete to join the regional level. In the contest (in the category of news writing) I did my best in rearranging the events that have been given to us. At first I don't know what to do so ... I just rearrnge all the events and after I've finish I passed it to the teacher in charge. I'm still hoping that all I've done was correct because I am a bit afraid of my teacher.And in the other side in the category of editorial cartooning, I did understand well the topic and draw it on my paper. After the finishing touches I have done, I did also pass it to the in charged person.
The next day all of the participants are requested to go back to the venue for the awarding ceremony. When we entered I felt nervous again. Then my teacher was given a paper where there are lists of the winning participants. My teacher and my classmates were very happy because four of us won! And I'm also very happy because I am one of them! I placed first in news writing and third in editorial cartooning.The next venue of the regional level would be Danao. It would be also my first time in Danao.We even practiced more for the regional level.
When that day came I felt very excited.It would be three days that we will be staying in Danao. When we reached Danao we are staying in a school. In that school we will be sleeping. It was also very nice because all of the contestants have the same bag. In our bags was where our schedules and also the tickets for our food.Our food was catered. It just taste so delicious.
When it is my schedule for a contest I need to get up early and ride on the service jeepney. In the news writing competition it was very hard I just did not know what to do. But when it came to my editorial cartooning I did all my best.
When the closing program came no one of my classmates said that they would win. I also have the same taughts to them. I did not win in the news writing competition but I won fourth place in editorial cartooning. I was every happy at that moment even though the first, second and third placers are going to Surigao for the national level.
As we all know that teachers are very important. They are our second parents when we are in school. They teaches us so many things. That sometimes I forgot some of it. They also help us in achieving our goals and dreams in life. So we must be very thankful to them. For all the things they have done and given to us.
In our school we have this kind of activity known as the KYSD (know your school day). This is a two-day activity where in students will have the authority to be the faculty members for these days. One student will be the principal,one will also be the assistant of the principal, the other would be the clerk,one would also be the guidance counselor and most of the students will be the teachers. For me when I was young this was just my wild imagination. But know it was true and I became one of the teachers. Isn't that great? After the activity the students that was hired as a faculty member will be given certificate of their participation. Because of these certificate and the experience I applied to be one of the teachers.
I am one of those students who applied to become one of the teachers. I am applying to be a Filipino teacher. When I was hired, my co-teacher and I analyzed our given topics and got ready for our presentation on the next day. When that day came, that was the time when I become afraid to go on top on the flat form and discuss the given topic. When my classmates begun to listen I became more confident to speak up. I've tried to be one of the teachers last year in our KYSD. I just don't know why I acted like that this year. I think it was just about the topic where I need to explain it further and i need also to share some of my experiences about these topics. I just don't really know what experiences to share to my classmates. I am shy when I'm in front of the class but when I'm with my friends i am not.
Now I know more how it is hard and fun being a teacher. You need to let your students to understand what you are all talking about. You must be very confident to tell them some of your experiences in life related to the topic you are discussing so that they can be inspired to tell their experiences too. You must also know how to discipline them. It is fun because you can give them more knowledge they need. It's fun also when you are having games and activities and they are really wanting to participate on these activities related to the topics.
This experience of mine, being a teacher for days will I never ever forget in my life. This would always stay in my mind and in my heart. The mixed feelings i felt when I'm on the flat form and everything that happened.
